Yo-Yo Ma was born in Paris, France where he began playing the cello at age 4.  He soon moved to New York City where he continued to play cello as a young child.  Yo-Yo Ma is considered the world’s most talented cellist.  He performs around the world for sold out audiences many times per year.  Yo-Yo Ma performs on two cellos.  One of his cellos was made in 1733 and the other in 1712!  Please visit his website which is listed above.  At his website you are able to hear Yo-Yo Ma play his cello.
